Will I be refunded if I don’t like the weather on the day of my rental?

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy – If you wish to cancel or reschedule your booking please do so by contacting us by 48 hours before your agreed collection or delivery .

We do, however, understand the UK weather is not always favourable and will offer your chance to reschedule if weather warnings have been officially issued (by the Government).

Please note: in the event of a cancellation that is requested by a customer, and not the fault of the business, refunds will be minus any transaction fees incurred.

Why Red Paddle Boards?

We believe that the experience you get when you use a red paddle co board is that of an authentic SUP experience and not a low quality substitute to the real thing. Inflatable SUP boards offer the ultimate in convenience but this should not be at the expense of performance.

The design of their boards are so much more than just how they look. It’s the whole experience. When renting an inflatable board you want it to be easy to transport and to be able to inflate with ease as well as the best on-water performance. To design a board is only part of the process.

Are the boards solid?

Our SUP’s are inflatable and fold neatly into our red paddle co bags. Each board also comes with its own purpose built double chamber SUP pump – designed to halve the amount of time and effort it takes to inflate your board.

Do we supply buoyancy aids ?

For your safety we provide Typhoon Yalu Buoyancy Aids giving you lots of buoyancy and minimal bulk which makes it perfect for paddle boarding. These come in different sizes.

What does SUP mean?

Stand up paddle boarding or Stand up paddle surfing is an offshoot of surfing that originated in Hawaii. Unlike traditional surfing where the rider sits until a wave comes, stand up paddle boarders stand on their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves through the water.

What should I wear on my feet.

You can wear shoes or go barefoot. Wetsuit boots are ideal, although old soft-soled trainers are fine too.

The river is shallow in places and we can’t guarantee what’s on the bottom, so feel free to wear something on your feet that you don’t mind getting wet and potentially dirty.

Wellies, heels, boots and flip-flops are not suitable.

Do you give lessons?

We only hire out the equipment, no lessons are provided. There are other local companies who provide lessons.

Do you have to know how to swim to Paddle Board?

You don’t have to, although it is probably ideal because it is fairly likely you will fall off your board at some stage so you should at least be confident enough to be able to be in the water until you can get back onto your board

We also provide all paddlers with buoyancy aids and safety leash that’s mandatory to wear whilst using your board on the water.

How old do I have to be to Paddle Board?

No minimum or maximum age to actually paddle board however confidence with water is a must – Our 10’8 boards can take small passengers ( Max wight limit for the board 100kg) We also provide the smaller passengers with their own paddle so they can help with the journey.

If you are making a booking however you do need to be over the age of 18 and be present on the adventure for anyone that’s below the age of 18.
